Egypt Daily News – During a joint press conference in Cairo, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty and French Foreign Minister Stéphane Ségornet emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and efforts to stabilize regional tensions.
Abdel Aty highlighted the alarming developments affecting Gaza and the broader region, discussing strategies to prevent further escalation.
He noted that Egypt and France share similar perspectives and reached a consensus on the immediate need for a ceasefire, cessation of Israeli military actions, and the facilitation of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Abdel Aty acknowledged the coordination between Egypt and France in pursuit of regional stability and praised France’s initiatives to mitigate escalation.
He reiterated Egypt’s expectation for France to continue advocating for the two-state solution.
Ségornet, speaking at the press conference, underscored the importance of a ceasefire in Gaza and addressing the humanitarian crisis for the Palestinian people. He mentioned that his visit marked the fourth trip to Cairo in six months, reflecting Egypt’s significance to France and the wider region.
