Egypt Daily News – The Egyptian Armed Forces announced the crash of a helicopter during a training exercise for the Air Force today, Tuesday, in the Shalufa area due to a technical malfunction, resulting in the martyr of two officers.
The Egyptian army statement said that necessary measures are being taken by the relevant authorities, and the armed forces extend their heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs.
Aircraft are subject to some technical and mechanical malfunctions in the air, where this malfunction may be repaired, but these malfunctions can appears suddenly in the air while the plane is flying.
There are also some manufacturing defects that are discovered immediately after receiving the new aircraft from the supplier, and there are some defects that are not discovered until after some time has passed, and there are other defects resulting from the fighter being heavily used in many operations.
Additionally, there are natural wear and tear issues that occur due to the use of the aircraft and its various components, such as tires, aircraft batteries, filters, oils, hydraulic systems, and many moving parts like generators, which must be replaced when the appropriate time comes.
