Egypt Daily News – The Egyptian government is urging all foreigners residing to visit the General Administration of Passports, Immigration, and Nationality to legalize their status, renew their residency, and obtain a smart residency card to avail themselves of government services.
Additionally, foreigners who are exempt from paying residence fees are also required to register their information at the same office to secure an exemption card, as mandated by a recent Prime Minister’s decision.
Failure to obtain the exemption card by the deadline of September 30, 2024, will result in a halt on all services for those without it and could lead to legal repercussions for those who do not comply, treating them as violators of the country’s residency regulations.
It is crucial for all affected individuals to take prompt action to avoid any legal issues and ensure continued access to necessary services.
