Egypt Daily News – Israel is holding 365 Palestinian children in its prisons according to the Government Media Office in Gaza that reported that more than 365 Palestinian children are being held in Israeli occupation prisons, including some from Gaza who were detained during the 15-month-long war of extermination.
According to the Palestinian Dialogue Center website, Dr. Ismail Al-Thawabta, the office’s director, stated on Saturday that “these children continue to suffer immensely, imprisoned in the brutal Israeli occupation prisons, where they are subjected to the most horrific forms of torture.”
He emphasized that Palestinian children, unlike any other children in the world, are tried in unjust, racist, and criminal military courts, in blatant violation of international laws and conventions.
According to data from the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, more than 770 cases of administrative detention of children have been recorded in the West Bank since the beginning of the war on Gaza.
However, there is no available data on the number of children detained in Gaza since the war, due to the ongoing crime of “forced disappearance.”
