Lebanon ICOM blasts

Egypt Daily News – The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced today, Wednesday, “the martyrdom of 14 individuals and 450 injured,” in a new wave of explosions that targeted wireless devices in various Lebanese areas.

Sources reported earlier this afternoon hearing the sound of small explosions in several Lebanese areas from the south to Beirut. They added reported that a large number of ambulances rushed to the sites of the explosions.

A security source stated: “The communication devices that exploded today are ICOM portable wireless devices, such as pagers or other various devices.” A security source explained, saying: “Israel detonated personal radio devices (walkie-talkies) today.

” Yesterday, Tuesday, communication devices of the “pager” type exploded in several areas considered strongholds of the Lebanese Hezbollah, including the southern suburbs of Beirut, regions in southern Lebanon, and the eastern Bekaa, resulting in the death of 12 people, including two children, and injuring around 2,800 others.

Hezbollah held Israel responsible for the operation, affirming that “this course is ongoing and separate from the heavy reckoning that the criminal enemy must await for the massacre it committed against our people, our families, and our fighters in Lebanon.

This is a different reckoning and it will come, God willing.” A high-ranking Lebanese security source said that the Israeli intelligence agency “Mossad” planted explosives inside 5,000 “pager” devices imported by the Lebanese “Hezbollah” months before the explosions that occurred yesterday, of which only 3,000 detonated.
