Madbouly says there will be no more power outages again

Egypt Daily News – Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said that the Abydos 1 station does not merely represent an addition to Egypt’s electricity production capabilities in the field of renewable energy, but rather confirms the Egyptian state’s direction towards a qualitative shift in how we deal with our natural resources and employ them in a more efficient and creative way that covers the needs of the Egyptian state.

Madbouly added, during his speech today at the opening of the Abydos 1 solar energy station: “The environmental challenges facing the world require that we be at the forefront of countries seeking to adopt innovative and sustainable solutions. This project comes within the framework of the national strategy that aims to reduce dependence on solar energy sources,” traditional energy and enhancing adaptation in the energy sector.

He continued: “The Egyptian government has allocated funding to provide the necessary fuel to stabilize the national electricity grid and not resort to reducing loads again, in addition to developing an urgent plan to add 4,000 megawatts of renewable energy to secure the summer of 2025.

The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, in coordination with various concerned parties, was able to solve the problem of outages and secure electrical supply according to the highest quality standards and improving productivity and efficiency.”
