Egypt Daily News – According to Al-Masirah TV, affiliated with the Houthis, new American strikes targeted several areas in Yemen under the control of the Iran-backed group, resulting in casualties and material damage.

At the same time, U.S. President Donald Trump escalated his rhetoric, vowing to “completely eliminate” the Houthis while accusing Iran of continuing to support them.

Several Yemeni areas under Houthi control were hit by new American strikes, according to Al-Masirah TV.

The Houthi-affiliated channel reported that “American aggression targeted the capital, Sanaa, (…) and the outskirts of Saada city,” later adding that strikes also hit “Al-Sawadiya district in Al-Bayda province.”

It stated that the strike in Sanaa “targeted a banquet hall under construction in the Al-Thawra district, damaging several nearby homes,” adding that “civil defense teams are working to extinguish fires caused by the attack.”

Flames and columns of smoke rose into the sky over the Yemeni capital, according to an AFP photographer, who noted that police had cordoned off the area.

Anis Al-Asbahi, spokesperson for the Houthi-run Ministry of Health, stated on the X platform that the strike on the capital resulted in “seven women and two children being injured, with the toll not yet final.”

Later, Al-Masirah TV reported that “American aggression targeted Al-Hazm district” in Al-Jawf province, northeast of the capital, stating that the strike hit “Al-Sha’ab farm for cattle and sheep, leading to the death of many animals.”

It is worth noting that Washington has been conducting an air campaign against the Houthis since the end of last week, which, according to the Iran-backed group, resulted in 53 deaths and 98 injuries on Saturday.

Completely eliminating them

These strikes come as U.S. President Donald Trump vowed on Wednesday to “completely eliminate” the Houthis.

Trump posted on his Truth Social platform, stating, “Significant damage has been inflicted on the savage Houthis. Watch how their situation gradually deteriorates. This is not a fair fight, and it never will be. They will be completely eliminated.”

He added, “We are receiving information that although Iran has reduced its overall support for the Houthis in terms of military equipment, it continues to supply them. Iran must stop this supply immediately. Let the Houthis fend for themselves. In any case, they will lose, but this way, they will lose quickly.”

On Monday, Trump declared that he would now hold Iran “responsible for any gunfire” from the Houthis, warning Tehran that the consequences would be “horrible.”

Alongside their claim of targeting the U.S. aircraft carrier Harry Truman four times in the Red Sea, the Houthis also announced on Tuesday that they had launched a missile toward Israel. The Israeli army stated that its air defenses intercepted the missile before it entered Israeli airspace.

This was the first missile attack on Israel from Yemen since the truce between Israel and Hamas in Gaza took effect on January 19.

This escalation followed a series of intense Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
