The Presidency
Today, President El-Sisi visited the Police Academy, where he was received by Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfik and Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of the Police Academy Major General Hani Abu Al-Makarem.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President had iftar with the new students and their families. The President reviewed the latest developments regarding Egypt’s position on a number of regional and international issues, and their impact on Egypt’s national security.
The President affirmed Egypt’s commitment to reinforcing security, stability, and peace in a region suffering from turmoil and instability, highlighting the state’s efforts to resolve crises through peaceful means to preserve the resources of countries and their peoples.
The President expressed his appreciation for the strength and cohesion of the domestic front, emphasizing that all the state agencies are making every effort to provide a decent life for citizens. President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of raising awareness and understanding of the situation and threats, along with the need to intensify efforts to preserve Egyptian national security and confront destructive rumors and thoughts.
The President emphasized that the state is exerting every effort to develop and reform its institutions, citing, for example, the progress witnessed by the Ministry of Interior over the past years, including the transformation of prisons into reform and rehabilitation centers.
The President affirmed to the students the importance of exerting every effort throughout their studies to be among the nation’s distinguished youth, and the need to continue developing their capabilities, noting his belief that they are the future of the nation.
The President expressed appreciation to the students’ families for their efforts in raising and educating their children on the principles and values of patriotism, emphasizing that no one can harm Egypt. At the conclusion of the visit, the President performed the Maghrib prayer with the students at the Academy’s mosque.
