Egypt Daily News – The Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, said that the international and regional situation is going through a critical phase that the world has never witnessed before.

Madbouly said in the weekly press conference, “The price of a barrel of oil increased by 10% last week, and you can imagine the amount of pressure this puts on the Egyptian state due to this increase.”

He confirmed that “the Egyptian government is facing unprecedented challenges, and we are dealing with the disturbances in the international and regional situation with a package of decisions,” explaining that “if the region enters into a regional war, we will be in a severe situation, and we might enter a war economy as a result of that war.”

He continued: “Everything that was raised in the last meeting is being studied, and we will work on addressing and resolving all the points that were brought up. We are keen on communicating with all segments of society and reviewing all viewpoints.”
