Egypt Daily News – Dr. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, offered the sincere condolences of the state and the Egyptian government to the family of the leader of the Ismaili community, for Prince Karim Al -Husseini, who requested that he be buried next to his grandfather Sultan Muhammad Shah in the western side of Luxor.

Family members and Prince Rahim were received at Aswan International Airport, all facilities were provided for a speedy completion of procedures, and the completion of all burial licenses and permits according to the instructions of Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister.

The official funeral ceremony witnessed church bells ringing as the funeral procession was passing in front of the Cathedral of the Angel Michael.

The governor of Aswan and Prince Rahim Aghakhan and his family participated in the official funeral ceremony to bid farewell to Prince Karim Al -Husseini IV, and the 49th imam of the Ismaili community, who died on Tuesday evening in the Portuguese city of Lisbon. His body was transferred to Aswan for his burial on the banks of the Nile.

The ceremonies started in front of the late Cemetery of the late literature Abbas Al -Akkad to Dr. Magdy Yaqoub Square, then the funeral moved in a procession from the Nile boats to the western side of the Nile River heading to the Cemetery of the Third Aghakhn to see its last resting place.
