Egypt Daily News – Saudi Arabia has officially announced the sighting of the Dhul-Hijjah crescent, confirming that the first day of Eid al-Adha will be Friday, June 6

The Sultanate of Oman also confirmed the sighting of the Dhul-Hijjah crescent, setting Eid al-Adha for Friday, June 6. Indonesia announced that Wednesday, May 28, 2025, will mark the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah, and Eid al-Adha will fall on Friday, June 6.

Meanwhile, Malaysia and Brunei, Muslim but non-Arab countries, announced that Eid al-Adha will begin on Saturday, June 7.

Muslims across the Arab and Islamic world will observe the Day of Arafah on Thursday, June 5, and celebrate the first day of Eid al-Adha on Friday, June 6.
