Egypt Daily News – Palestinian reports stated that Islamic Jihad leader Naji Abu Seif, the spokesperson for Al-Quds Brigades, known as “Abu Hamza,” was martyred today, Tuesday, in an Israeli airstrike targeting him in the Gaza Strip. The attack also led to the martyrdom of several members of his family.

The bombing resulted in the deaths of the Spokesperson’s wife, Shaimaa Abu Seif “Washah,” his brother Ghassan Maher Abu Seif and his wife Sara Abu Seif “Sabah,” along with their son Saif Ghassan Maher Abu Seif. Additionally, Dima Maher Abu Seif was also martyred.

This targeted attack comes amid the escalating Israeli aggression on Gaza, which has led to the martyrdom and injury of hundreds in just a few hours. The Ministry of Health announced that more than 419 Palestinians have been killed due to Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.

Hamas: Israel Reneged on the Ceasefire Agreement, Its Claims Are Baseless

In a related development, Hamas asserted today, Tuesday, that Israel has reneged on the ceasefire agreement and evaded its commitments.

In a statement, Hamas emphasized that Israel’s claims about preparations by the resistance for an attack on its forces “are baseless.”

The movement affirmed that it had adhered to the agreement until the last moment and was keen on its continuation. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “seeking a way out of his internal crises, preferred to reignite the war at the expense of our people’s blood.”

This comes after Israel resumed its war on Gaza at dawn today, launching a brutal assault on residential buildings, displaced persons’ tents, and areas around hospitals throughout the Strip. The attacks resulted in the deaths of more than 350 people and left hundreds wounded, including many in critical condition, within hours.

Hamas held Netanyahu “fully responsible for the consequences of this treacherous aggression against Gaza, unarmed civilians, and our besieged Palestinian people, who are facing a barbaric war and a systematic starvation policy.”

The movement noted that “Netanyahu and his extremist government have decided to overturn the ceasefire agreement, exposing prisoners in Gaza to an unknown fate,” calling on mediators to “hold Netanyahu and the Israeli occupation fully responsible for violating and reneging on the agreement.”

Hamas also urged the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to “assume their historic responsibilities in supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their brave resistance, and in breaking the unjust siege on Gaza.”

Furthermore, Hamas called on the United Nations and the UN Security Council to convene urgently and “issue a binding decision to stop the aggression and enforce Resolution 2735, which calls for an end to the assault and a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.”
