The dollar continues to rise against the pound at the end of bank transactions

Egypt Daily News – The exchange rates of the dollar continued to rise against the pound in local banks, ranging between 7 and 12 piasters by the end of Monday’s transactions, after rising between 4 and 6 piasters by the end of Sunday’s transactions, exceeding 49 pounds.

The currency price rose by about 8 piasters by the end of transactions at the National Bank and Bank of Egypt, recording 49.01 EGP for buying and 49.11 EGP for selling, compared to 48.93 EGP for buying and 49.03 EGP for selling.

The US dollar also rose at the Commercial International Bank by about 7 piasters, recording 49.03 pounds for buying and 49.13 pounds for selling, compared to 48.96 pounds for buying and 49.06 pounds for selling.

At the Alexandria Bank, the dollar rose by about 8 piasters to reach 49.03 EGP for buying and 49.13 EGP for selling, compared to 48.95 EGP for buying and 49.05 EGP for selling.

The exchange rate of the dollar at the United Bank rose by about 12 piasters to record approximately 49.05 pounds for buying and 49.15 pounds for selling, compared to about 48.93 for buying and 49.03 pounds for selling.

The currency price increased at the Suez Canal Bank by about 9 piasters, recording approximately 49.05 pounds for buying and 49.15 pounds for selling, compared to 48.96 pounds for buying and 49.06 pounds for selling.

The exchange rate of the dollar at Al Baraka Bank increased by about 8 piasters, reaching approximately 49.01 EGP for buying and 49.11 EGP for selling, compared to about 48.93 EGP for buying and 49.03 EGP for selling.

The price of the dollar at the Arab African International Bank rose by about 7 piasters to record 49.00 EGP for buying and 49.10 EGP for selling, compared to about 48.93 EGP for buying and 49.03 EGP for selling.

The price of the green currency rose at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank by about 9 piasters to record 49.06 pounds for buying and 49.15 pounds for selling, compared to 48.97 pounds for buying and 49.06 pounds for selling.

The central bank decided last March to float the exchange rate, causing the value of the pound to drop against the dollar by about 38%.
