Authorities have revealed chilling details about the digital trail left behind by Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old suspect accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk during a campus rally in Utah on Wednesday. Investigators say Robinson used the social platform Discord to post messages both before and after the attack, discussing tactical movements and referencing anti-fascist ideology and internet culture.
According to law enforcement officials, Robinson inscribed cryptic and often disturbing messages on the bullets used in the shooting, some of which referenced fringe online communities and internet memes. A roommate of the suspect informed police that Robinson had discussed the bullet engravings openly and had detailed his escape plan on a private chat room, believed to be hosted on Discord.

Discord is a popular communication platform widely used by gaming communities and interest-based groups. However, it has also been utilized by extremists to coordinate actions or discuss ideological views away from public scrutiny.
Investigators say Robinson posted messages describing how he wrapped the rifle used in the shooting in a towel and hid it in a bush near the scene. He reportedly wrote that he had changed outfits and used a scope during the attack. Another message indicated that he needed to return to a hidden “drop point” to retrieve the weapon after fleeing.
Perhaps most disturbing were the engravings found on the bullets used in the killing. Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed that one of the bullets bore the phrase, “Notices bulges OwO, what’s this?”—a meme phrase often used online in a mocking or trolling context, particularly aimed at members of the furry and transgender communities. The meme combines cartoonish internet lingo with sexual innuendo, and has become shorthand for a style of satirical online behavior that blurs the line between humor and harassment.
Another bullet was engraved with, “Hey Fascists! Catch,” accompanied by an up arrow, right arrow, and three downward-pointing arrows. Experts believe the symbols may refer to the Iron Front, a German paramilitary organization that opposed the Nazi Party during the Weimar Republic. The three downward arrows are a known anti-fascist symbol, later adopted by some Antifa movements globally.
A third bullet featured lyrics from the Italian anti-fascist song Bella Ciao, originally sung by resistance fighters during World War II. The song has seen renewed popularity in recent years following its use in the Netflix crime series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), becoming a cultural symbol of rebellion.
Perhaps the most jarring engraving, found on an unused casing, read: “If you read this you are gay LMAO.” The phrase, using internet slang for “laughing my ass off,” underscores what officials described as a blending of political extremism with nihilistic internet humor often associated with extremist online subcultures.
Law enforcement sources say that this unique blend of ideological expression and meme culture may point to a radicalization process that occurred online. Robinson’s digital activity is now a central part of the ongoing investigation into Kirk’s killing.
Authorities have not yet confirmed a specific motive, but the content of Robinson’s messages and bullet inscriptions suggest a complicated mix of anti-fascist rhetoric, online trolling culture, and possibly deep-seated psychological instability. His online footprint is being examined as prosecutors prepare to bring formal charges that may carry the death penalty.
Robinson was arrested late Thursday night in Washington, Utah, after reportedly confessing to his father, a 27-year veteran of the local sheriff’s department, who then contacted authorities. He remains in custody as officials continue to investigate how the assassination was planned and what ideological forces may have influenced it.
Charlie Kirk’s death has ignited political outrage and mourning across the United States, particularly among conservative communities. The revelation of Robinson’s online behavior adds another unsettling layer to a killing that has already shaken the nation.
Charlie Kirk Assassination Suspect Identified as 22-Year-Old Tyler Robinson. The man suspected of assassinating conservative commentator Charlie Kirk has been identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old resident of southern Utah. Law enforcement sources confirmed that Robinson was taken into custody late Thursday night, ending a high-profile, 36-hour manhunt that had gripped the nation.
Kirk, 31, was gunned down on Wednesday during a speaking event at Utah Valley University in Orem. The brazen killing shocked political circles across the country and sparked an intensive investigation led by the FBI and local law enforcement.

President Donald Trump, appearing in a rare in-studio interview on Fox & Friends Friday morning, broke the news of the arrest, stating that “with a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody.” Trump added that someone “very close” to the suspect had tipped off authorities. According to sources, that person was Robinson’s own father a 27-year veteran of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, who convinced his son to come forward after he confessed.
The elder Robinson reportedly secured his son and contacted law enforcement before officers arrived to make the arrest. The suspect was taken into custody around 11 p.m. local time in the city of Washington, Utah, approximately 260 miles south of the crime scene. He had been living in a $600,000 six-bedroom home in a quiet residential neighborhood.
Robinson’s mother, Amber Robinson, is employed by Intermountain Support Coordination Services, a company contracted by the state of Utah to assist people with disabilities in accessing care. Authorities have not indicated whether either parent had any prior knowledge of the alleged plot.
At a Thursday night press conference, investigators announced that Robinson would face capital murder charges and could be eligible for the death penalty if convicted. Officials have not yet released a motive, but they confirmed that a weapon found near the scene was matched to ammunition engraved with messages referencing transgender and antifascist ideology.
The FBI had released surveillance footage and photos of the suspect earlier Thursday and established a $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. A dedicated webpage was also set up to provide updates on the case, which remains under active investigation.
The tragedy has prompted an outpouring of grief and political reaction. Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha, canceled their attendance at the September 11 memorial service in New York to instead accompany Kirk’s family in Salt Lake City. Together, they helped carry Kirk’s casket aboard Air Force Two to his home state of Arizona.
Kirk, a prominent conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was known for his fiery public speeches and unwavering support of America First policies. His death marks one of the most high-profile political assassinations in recent American history.
More information is expected to be released by federal and state authorities in the coming days as the investigation continues and court proceedings begin.
Earlier President Donald Trump announced Friday morning that a suspect believed to be responsible for the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk is now in custody. Speaking during a rare in-studio interview on Fox & Friends, Trump revealed new details about the manhunt and the moments leading to the arrest.
“I think with a high degree of certainty we have him in custody,” the president told the hosts. While careful not to pre-empt announcements from the Department of Justice or the FBI, Trump offered insight into how law enforcement located the alleged shooter, who had remained at large since the incident earlier this week.
According to Trump, a minister with ties to law enforcement played a crucial role in persuading the suspect to turn himself in. “It was a minister who was involved with law enforcement, his good friend is a top U.S. Marshal and they took it from there,” Trump said. He indicated that the suspect’s own father ultimately encouraged him to surrender to authorities.
The announcement comes just two days after Kirk, 31, was gunned down during a public speaking event on the campus of a university in Salt Lake City, Utah. The shooting sent shockwaves through conservative circles and sparked a nationwide manhunt for the assailant.
Trump’s live interview marked a departure from his usual media appearances, underscoring the gravity of the situation. He had traveled to New York City on Thursday to attend the September 11 remembrance game at Yankee Stadium, a longstanding tradition. He stayed overnight in the city before joining Fox & Friends in person Friday morning.
Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha, canceled their planned visit to Ground Zero memorial events in New York City. Instead, they flew to Utah to support Kirk’s family and accompany his casket aboard Air Force Two. The vice president was seen alongside Kirk’s wife, children, parents, and close friends as they transported the body back to Arizona, the late activist’s home state.
On Thursday, the FBI’s Salt Lake City field office released surveillance footage and images of the suspect. The Bureau also launched a dedicated webpage offering updates and announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and identification of those responsible for the attack.
Kirk’s murder has ignited intense debate and mourning across political lines, with tributes pouring in from fellow activists, lawmakers, and supporters. More details about the investigation and the identity of the suspect are expected to be released by federal authorities later today.
