Egypt Daily News – Israeli airstrikes continued across various areas of Gaza, as sources revealed there are no new proposals for a ceasefire in the Strip. The number of Palestinians killed due to Israeli operations rose to 70 on Thursday.
Gaza City and the Jabalia refugee camp were subjected to a series of intense air raids and fire belts. The Israeli army also bombed Al-Shati camp, the Shuja’iyya and Tuffah neighborhoods in eastern Gaza City, while Israeli warships fired several shells at western areas of Gaza. Altogether, these attacks resulted in over 135 Palestinian casualties, including dead and wounded, between Wednesday morning and Thursday across different parts of the Strip.
Israeli forces also continued to fire at Palestinians waiting for aid in the Nuseirat area in central Gaza and in northwestern parts of the Strip.
Meanwhile, video footage documented the moment Israeli forces bombed a residential block north of Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released footage of an operation targeting an Israeli military force in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. According to the group, the attack targeted two Israeli armored personnel carriers, killing six Israeli soldiers and one officer, and injuring others, as confirmed by the Israeli army.
Simultaneously, Israeli media reported that humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza have been halted until the army presents a plan requested by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu within 48 hours, aimed at preventing what he described as “Hamas taking control of the aid.”
Earlier, Israeli media also reported that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich threatened to withdraw from the government if the flow of aid to Gaza wasn’t stopped.
On Wednesday, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that three Palestinians were killed and eight others injured in the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah in the West Bank, after a new settler attack targeting Palestinian homes and property in Jericho, Taybeh, and other locations.
This settler violence coincided with an Israeli military raid in Halhul, north of Hebron, where several homes were searched, and a wide arrest campaign was launched in Nablus.
Palestinian Deputy President Hussein Al-Sheikh said that settler violence under the protection of the Israeli army is a political decision by the Israeli government. He called on the international community to intervene immediately to protect Palestinians, warning that the Israeli government’s actions are pushing the region toward an explosion.
Regarding ongoing ceasefire negotiations since Wednesday, sources from Al Arabiya and Al Hadath confirmed that there are no new proposals on the table. Current discussions focus on a proposal by U.S. envoy Steve Wehtkopf, which Hamas has reservations about.
The sources said Hamas objects to the timeline and map of Israeli withdrawal outlined in the proposal, and demands a permanent ceasefire. Hamas also expressed concerns about the provisions on humanitarian aid and the schedule for releasing hostages.
Meanwhile, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu is expected to hold consultations today about Gaza, including the possibility of a deal involving a ceasefire and the release of hostages.
The channel also quoted three Israeli ministers who said the war in Gaza remains theoretical in its goals but is not achieving practical results. They emphasized the need for either more decisive military action or an agreement to end the war.
Previously, three senior Israeli officials told Axios that Israel has not yet decided whether to send a negotiating delegation to Egypt or Qatar to discuss a hostage exchange deal.
A source familiar with the talks confirmed that negotiations are currently stalled, with ongoing disagreements between Israel and Hamas.
In a post on Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump said that the United States “saved Israel.”
