Egypt Daily News – Photos highlight the farewell of Palestinian doctor Alaa’ Al-Najjar in the Gaza Strip to her nine children who were martyred in an Israeli airstrike at dawn on Saturday. The pediatrician received the news of her children’s martyrdom while in a state of severe collapse inside Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza.
The administration of Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza mourned the nine children killed in the Israeli bombing and offered condolences to Dr. Alaa’ Al-Najjar, who continues to work day and night in the hospital to save the wounded and injured.

The administration and staff of Al-Tahrir Hospital in the Gaza Strip also extended their deepest condolences and prayers to the patient, steadfast, and exemplary doctor Alaa’ Al-Najjar, for the martyrdom of nine of her children and the injury of her husband and only remaining child, due to the treacherous Zionist bombing of their home.
The hospital administration expressed its inability to speak, as breaths were choked by the horror of the tragedy. The hospital added: “The martyrdom of your children in a treacherous bombing is an unforgettable crime, but we pray that their martyrdom raises them to high ranks with God and that He adorns you with the crown of patience in this world and the hereafter.”

The death toll from the Israeli occupation’s assault on the Gaza Strip has risen to 53,901 martyrs and 122,593 wounded since October 7, 2023.
Medical sources reported today, Saturday, that since March 18 the date the occupation resumed its aggression after the ceasefire agreement, 3,747 people have been martyred and 10,552 injured.
In the past 24 hours alone, 79 martyrs (including 5 bodies retrieved) and 211 injured people have arrived at Gaza’s hospitals due to ongoing massacres. Many victims remain under the rubble, in streets, and inaccessible areas, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them. The statistics also do not include hospitals in the northern Gaza governorate due to difficulty in accessing them.
The economic situation in Gaza has completely collapsed during the ongoing Israeli war, which has lasted more than a year and a half. Residents have been forced to return to a barter system, exchanging available goods for what they need from others in an attempt to meet basic needs, amid severe shortages and extremely high prices, especially for essential food items.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Ghassan Al-Shourabji, a resident of the Gaza Strip, wrote on his official Facebook account: “I have an amount of approximately 10 kilograms of cement, and I would like if possible to barter it for any available flour, food items, or canned goods, according to what suits the other party. The initiative is based on friendly exchange and cooperation among people in a time when we need solidarity, without embarrassment or formality.”
