Egypt said it is conducting intensive consultations with all concerned parties and has called for restraint and renewed efforts to support the peace process in Yemen, as it voiced deep concern over the latest developments in the country.

In a statement, the Egyptian government said it is closely monitoring the evolving situation in Yemen and warned of the dangers of escalating tensions and their potential repercussions on Yemen’s security and stability, as well as on the wider region.

Cairo reaffirmed its long-standing position in support of Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, stressing the importance of preserving national state institutions and protecting the resources and interests of the Yemeni people. Egypt emphasized that a comprehensive political settlement that addresses the root causes of the crisis remains the only viable path to ending the conflict and fulfilling the aspirations of Yemenis for security, stability, and development.

The statement underlined the need to prioritize dialogue, reason, and calm, calling on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid unilateral measures that could further undermine security and stability. Egypt said it is working to support efforts aimed at reducing escalation and preventing the situation from deteriorating further.

Egypt also reiterated its commitment to pursuing a comprehensive and sustainable political solution to the Yemeni crisis through continued engagement and communication with all relevant parties. Such a settlement, it said, should be based on inclusive national dialogue that brings together all components of Yemeni society, grounded in consensus and respect for Yemen’s national principles.

Cairo added that advancing a political solution would help strengthen unity, safeguard Arab national security, and contribute to lasting stability and peace across the region.
