Sirens sounded across central and northern Israel on Tuesday evening following simultaneous missile launches from Iran and Lebanon.

The Israeli military activated alerts in the Greater Tel Aviv area, including Tel Aviv, Herzliya, and Jerusalem, as well as in settlements in the northern West Bank, after missiles were reportedly fired from Iran. This marked the fifth Iranian strike on Israel since Tuesday morning.

The military reported that alarms were triggered in Gush Dan (Greater Tel Aviv), the Sharon region, and the coastal plain following the missile salvo. Israeli media reported that at least one of the missiles was equipped with a warhead, though later reports suggested it had been intercepted.

According to Hebrew-language outlets, millions of Israelis sought shelter following the alarms. Social media posts from settler communities reported that missile fragments fell in areas near Beit Shemesh and Petah Tikva, though details remain limited. Israel has imposed strict censorship on information regarding casualties from the strikes.

In northern Israel, sirens were also activated in the Ramot and Avivim settlements in the Upper Galilee after missile fire from Lebanon. Hezbollah has intensified its attacks on northern Israel, causing significant damage to infrastructure and property. The Israeli emergency service, Magen David Adom, reported no confirmed casualties from the strikes.

The missile attacks come amid an ongoing regional conflict that escalated after Israel expanded its operations into Lebanon on March 2, following the U.S.-led campaign against Iran, which began on February 28. In response, Iran and Hezbollah have targeted Israel with missiles and drones, causing casualties and damage, though Israel continues to suppress details of losses.

Iran has also conducted attacks on facilities it claims are U.S. interests in other Arab countries, resulting in casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure. These strikes have been condemned by affected nations, who have repeatedly called for an end to hostilities.

Despite ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States over Tehran’s nuclear program mediated by Oman, hostilities in the region have intensified. Israel continues to occupy territories in southern Lebanon, parts of Palestine, and areas in Syria, refusing withdrawal and opposing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, as stipulated in United Nations resolutions.
