Egypt Daily News – Today, Saturday, Egypt announced the arrival of a civilian cargo plane belonging to EgyptAir, carrying 15 tons of relief aid, medicines, and food provided by the Egyptian Red Crescent to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement, that providing relief aid from the Egyptian people to the Syrian people comes within the framework of keenness to support the brotherly Syrian people, and an emphasis on standing by them, in light of the historical popular ties that unite the two brotherly peoples.
It added that the Chargé d’Affairs of the Egyptian Embassy in Damascus, Ambassador Osama Khadr, was receiving the aid shipment and that this step comes as a continuation of Egypt’s role in supporting the brotherly Syrian people over the past years, especially in light of its hosting large numbers of Syrian people in Egypt and providing all basic services to the members of the Syrian community in Egypt.
