Egypt Daily News – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has scheduled the return match between Egypt and Mauritania for next Tuesday at 7 PM Cairo time, in the fourth round of the African qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Egyptian national team has become the only Arab team to achieve a clean sheet in the first three rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as all other Arab teams have conceded at least one goal in the qualifiers, with the latest being the Tunisian team, which lost to Comoros.

The Egyptian national team achieved a valuable victory over their Mauritanian counterpart with a 2-0 score on Friday evening, bringing them closer to qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

The team won against their Mauritanian guest (2-0) at the Cairo International Stadium in the third round of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to be held in Morocco.

Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” scored the first goal in the 69th minute with a powerful shot from close range after the Mauritania defense failed to clear a cross.

Captain Mohamed Salah hit the left post right from the start with a free kick, but he succeeded in adding the second goal in the 79th minute.
