Egypt Daily News – Egypt expressed its strong condemnation and complete disapproval of the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli Minister of National Security, under the protection of the Israeli police, during the third day of Eid al-Fitr.

This act was seen as a provocative and unacceptable escalation of tensions, fueling the emotions of Muslims around the world. Egypt confirmed that, in addition to the illegality or lack of legitimacy of any Israeli measures concerning the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims, these extreme Israeli actions represent a flagrant violation of international law and are a major source of instability in the region.

Egypt warned of the consequences of continuing this highly provocative and reckless approach, stressing the need to preserve the legal and historical status of the religious sanctities in Jerusalem.

Egypt further warned against any attempts to harm these sanctities, emphasizing that the continued failure to halt Israeli violations and provocations, coupled with the lack of deterrent actions by the international community to put an end to these reckless actions that disregard international law, could lead to widespread anger and trigger a wave of unrest in the Middle East, with dangerous repercussions for international peace and security.
