Egypt Daily News – Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu announced the assassination of Hashem Safieddine, a Hezbollah leader, who was a candidate to succeed Hassan Nasrallah as the party’s Secretary-General.

He said today, Tuesday, addressing Israelis on the anniversary of the October 7 attack, that Israel was forced to engage in a decisive battle against Hamas, which carried out a difficult attack on it a year ago.

Netanyahu claimed that Hamas killed and raped a number of Israeli citizens during its attack on October 7.

Hamas denied these accusations from the very first moment of the aggression and published footage through its channels on Telegram to confirm the falsehood of the Israeli narrative.

Netanyahu added in his speech, published by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office on X platform: “The memory of our fallen citizens will remain forever etched in our hearts.”

Netanyahu pledged to continue fighting against Hamas until the war objectives that broke out a year ago in the Gaza Strip are achieved.
