Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi convened today with key government officials, including Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and ministers responsible for water resources, agriculture, and sustainable development, to evaluate and enhance work programs within the agricultural and water sectors.
The discussion centered around the New Delta Project and other initiatives under Egypt’s Future Authority, focusing on economic integration and maximizing the productivity and efficiency of these critical sectors.
The meeting highlighted the importance of meeting the needs of agricultural and water projects, emphasizing the role these projects play in achieving comprehensive economic development and ensuring food security.
President El-Sisi reviewed ongoing efforts to promote research and innovation in water and agriculture, pushing for the adoption of modern technologies and practices, such as advanced irrigation systems, to improve productivity.
The President underscored the need to provide sufficient resources for the agricultural sector, aiming for significant progress in both vertical (intensive) and horizontal (extensive) agricultural production.
He reiterated that the agricultural sector is essential for meeting local food demands, contributing to national security, boosting exports, and creating job opportunities, which collectively strengthen the national economy.
