Egypt Daily News – Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, took the LRT electric train to the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. She boarded the train at Adly Mansour Station and traveled to the Arts and Culture City Station in the New Administrative Capital.
The Minister of Social Solidarity made sure to line up at the ticket window to obtain a ticket before boarding the train. During her journey, she interacted with employees commuting to work in the New Administrative Capital and citizens using the electric train to travel between different areas of Cairo, listening to their opinions and needs.
Dr. Maya Morsy also examined the various services offered by the electric train, including the facilities designed to accommodate people with disabilities and ensure accessibility for them.
At the end of the train ride, she visited the driver’s cabin, where she discovered that the train was being operated by a female driver. She expressed her gratitude for the driver’s skill and excellence in her work, emphasizing that Egyptian women are capable of holding all positions and excelling in any assigned task with efficiency and distinction.
Following the train journey, the Minister of Social Solidarity took the Administrative Capital Bus from the Arts and Culture City Station to the ministry’s headquarters. This bus service facilitates transportation for visitors and employees, connecting the light rail train station to various parts of the New Administrative Capital, including the government district.
The buses operating in the New Administrative Capital are environmentally friendly, running on electricity or natural gas. They are also equipped with phone charging ports at each seat and air conditioning.
Dr. Maya Morsy extended her sincere appreciation to Vice Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, for the efforts made within the electric train project. She emphasized that this is a world-class project on Egyptian soil, delivering highly professional services. She affirmed that what she observed in the train and its various stations is on par with international standards.
