“In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful”
Revered Scholars,
Honorable attendees,
May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you
On this blessed night, Laylat al-Qadr, a night distinguished by the Almighty with His boundless grace, it gives me great pleasure to extend my deepest greetings and warmest wishes to you, to the noble Egyptian people, and to the entirety of the Arab and Islamic nations.
We gather today to celebrate the light of the Holy Qur’an, which illuminated the earth. From the divine emanations of this redolent memory, we draw inspiration: the values of sincerity, devotion, and piety.
For indeed, Laylat al-Qadr is a Divine call to rejuvenate our souls and to hold fast to the unbreakable bond of Allah. We beseech the Almighty to bestow its blessings upon our beloved Egypt, granting us goodness, prosperity, and peace.
Allow me to reflect here with immense pride before an inspiring Egyptian experience: ‘The State of Recitation.’ This is a project that has truly embodied the vanguard spirit of the Egyptian character, proving that Egypt was, and shall forever remain, a land of creativity and genius.
Indeed, there could be no more fitting moment for the culmination of ‘The State of Recitation’ than this blessed night, the very night in which the Holy Qur’an was revealed, so that one light may be made complete by another.
Ladies and gentlemen,
This initiative has succeeded in gathering the Egyptian family around a table of profound beauty and refined taste, re-aligning our connection with our sublime religious and cultural identity. For Egypt was, and shall forever remain, the pure spring from which the entire world has drawn the foundations of recitation and psalmody.
Throughout history, Egypt has offered seraphic voices; voices that have illuminated the hearts of Muslims in the East and the West with their humility and purity.
As we in the Egyptian State celebrate this success, we look forward to witnessing similar brilliance across all sciences and fields. Our vision is to see, following ‘The State of Recitation,’ the birth of ‘The State of Knowledge,’ ‘The State of Innovation,’ and ‘The State of Eloquence’, so that Egypt may remain a vanguard in every sphere, just as it stands as a leader in ‘The State of Recitation’.
The great people of Egypt,
Illuminated by the radiance of this blessed night, I affirm to you that the challenges we are facing summon from us a beautiful patience and an unyielding resolve. For the building of our New Republic is founded upon tireless efforts, diligent labor and the pursuit of knowledge.
We continue to work night and day, in every corner of Egyptian soil, to provide a dignified life, one truly worthy of this noble and authentic people.
Therefore, it is my firm and unshakable belief that Allah the Almighty rewards those who are sincere in their devotion. The projects and development we offer today are the seeds of a harvest that our children shall reap, by the Will of Allah and His divine providence.
Distinguished guests,
Today, we disseminate a message of peace, from the land of peace, on this night of peace. As we celebrate Laylat al-Qadr, of which the Almighty declared: ‘Peace it is until the rising of the dawn’, we affirm to the entire world that peace is the very essence of existence and the ultimate quest of the wise. It is the value that safeguards souls and upholds the sacred dignity of man.
To this end, Egypt continues to fulfill its historic role in championing just causes, declaring its unequivocal, unwavering solidarity with every human soul suffering the scourges of conflict.
Our message emanates from a profound faith that our shared human destiny necessitates peaceful coexistence to confront our challenges and realize peace for all. Guided by this conviction, I reiterate my call to end the escalation, to stay the shedding of blood, and to condemn aggression against our brotherly Arab nations, urging instead a commitment to earnest negotiations to bring an end to all regional conflicts.
As a final word, I raise my supplication to Allah the Almighty to safeguard Egypt from every harm, and to grant us the success to pursue all that serves the welfare of our nation, our people, and all of humanity. May He perpetuate upon us the grace of security and the blessing of peace.
“He is the Best of Protectors and the Best of Helpers”
