Egypt Daily News – Eight people were killed and three others were injured in a residential building collapse today in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced, in a statement, the death of eight people and the injury of three others in a preliminary toll of the collapse of a six-story residential building in the Al-Waili neighborhood in Cairo Governorate.
It was reported that the injured were transferred to Al-Demerdash Hospital to receive treatment, while ambulances remained at the accident site until the completion of the work of removing the rubble and searching for any survivors or bodies of victims.
Last September, the “Zaytoun neighborhood” located in eastern Cairo witnessed the collapse of a building, causing the death of one person, while another building collapsed in the “Ard Al-Golf” area in one of the Heliopolis neighborhoods in the same month, killing two.
