President Sisi “Egypt passed through a difficult time implementing the economic reform plan”

Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today, at the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, with a number of members from the press and media and the head of the State Information Service, where he discussed developments in the regional situation in the Middle East, including the war in Gaza and the relevant Egyptian efforts to reach an agreement to stop, shooting, exchange of hostages and detainees, and implementation of humanitarian aid.

The spokesman for the Presidency indicated that the meeting also discussed developments in Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Somalia and Yemen, and Egyptian efforts to resolve these crises. The meeting also touched on water security as a top priority for Egypt and an issue of existence.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, added that the President opened the way for dialogue, and in response to inquiries, he stressed the strength and readiness of state agencies, especially the armed forces and the civil police, to confront any internal or external challenges, stressing that the cohesion and unity of Egyptians is the first and most important factor in preserving the Egyptian state.

The President explained, “Egypt has gone through the most difficult period in the past period with regard to implementing the economic reform plan and achieving development, and we are on the right path, which was reflected in the confidence of international financial institutions in the Egyptian economy,” pointing to the state’s keenness to localize the industry to reduce dependence on imports. The spokesman pointed out that the President also confirmed during the meeting that the Egyptian state has come a long way on the path to reform in various fields, and there are still some negatives that we are working wholeheartedly to fix and to build a strong state that will be resistant to any aggressor.
