Egypt Daily News – The Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, discussed with the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, on Wednesday, the current developments in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Syria.

King Abdullah stressed, according to the Royal Court, the necessity of stopping settlement procedures and rejecting any attempts to include lands and displacing the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, stressing the need to install the Palestinians on their land.

The Jordanian monarch also stressed the need to unify the Palestinian ranks and intensify Arab and international efforts to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, in addition to strengthening the humanitarian response in the Strip.

On the Syrian issue, King Abdullah stressed the importance of supporting the brothers in Syria and the efforts of preserving their unity, sovereignty and stability.

King Abdullah also made a phone call with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which he dealt with developments in the region, especially the serious conditions in Gaza, according to the Royal Jordanian Court.

Earlier today, the Jordanian monarch met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and stressed the necessity of achieving a fair and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two -state solution, which leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He pointed to Jordan’s close coordination with brothers and friends in dealing with the issues of the region, and reaching a comprehensive calm in the region.

Jordanian moves come after repeated statements by US President Donald Trump, about the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, which he described as hell, and he again said that he wanted to see Egypt and Jordan receive the Palestinians who seek to get them out of the Strip.

Egypt and Jordan have previously rejected any displacement of the Palestinians from their lands, and stressed that there is no solution but the two -state solution.

Yesterday, the Jordanian monarch and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi stressed, in a telephone conversation between them, the importance of reaching permanent peace in the region based on the two -state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state, on the lines of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital, as a single guarantee for achieving peace and stability in the Middle East.

The two leaders stressed the need to take the unified Arab position demanding to reach a permanent peace in the Middle East region in order to achieve stability and the desired economic prosperity.
