Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a pivotal bilateral meeting with the Secretary-General of Egypt’s National Security Council Youssef Alaa El-Deen during an international summit in New Delhi. The diplomatic session was specifically timed to commemorate the seventy-first anniversary of the formal establishment of sovereign diplomatic ties between Cairo and Beijing.
Wang stated that the Chinese government is fully prepared to utilize this historic milestone to rapidly accelerate high-level political exchanges and expand practical industrial trade. The Chinese foreign chief emphasized that both developing nations occupy highly influential positions within the expanding Global South coalition, giving them shared responsibilities in stabilizing international shipping routes.
El-Deen responded by affirming that China remains a foundational strategic partner whose long-term technological and infrastructural investments have yielded highly profitable domestic results across Egypt. The security chief explicitly reiterated that the Egyptian government firmly abides by the internationally recognized One-China principle and actively opposes any foreign legislative interference in Beijing’s internal administrative affairs.
The Egyptian representative expressed a strong desire to dramatically deepen localized manufacturing investments under the umbrella of China’s global Belt and Road Initiative. Furthermore, El-Deen noted that the recent inclusion of Egypt into the BRICS economic bloc provides an ideal multilateral platform to challenge Western currency monopolies and establish alternative trade financing systems.
The high-level security delegation focused a substantial portion of their private agenda on de-escalating the highly volatile military confrontations currently reshaping the Middle East region. El-Deen provided a comprehensive briefing detailing Egypt’s active regional mediation efforts alongside international partners operating under the specialized four-party diplomatic coordination mechanism.
The national security secretary highly praised Beijing’s consistent diplomatic contributions toward establishing a permanent cessation of hostilities and enforcing humanitarian border security frameworks. Wang responded by reiterating that China remains ideologically opposed to the unilateral use of military force or aggressive trade blockades to resolve complex border disputes.
The Chinese diplomat specifically urged all global superpowers to actively protect and implement the existing memorandum of understanding previously signed between the United States and Iran. He noted that while back-channel diplomatic negotiations between Washington and Tehran face severe setbacks, the international community must prevent the door to peaceful compromise from slamming shut.
Wang concluded the summit by promising that China will maintain a continuous intelligence-sharing channel with Cairo to help neutralize emerging geopolitical threats. Both security chiefs agreed to coordinate their upcoming voting positions at the United Nations General Assembly to foster a more multipolar global governance structure.
