A 200 EGP increase, a dramatic surge in the price of gold today in Egypt during trading

Egypt Daily News – The price of gold in Egypt jumped by around 70 EGP during the midday trading on Friday, compared to its level at the beginning of the trading session, according to what was stated by Nady Nagib, the former Secretary-General of the Gold Division.

The price of gold had already risen by about 130 EGP during the morning session today, bringing the total increase to approximately 200 EGP so far.

Current gold prices:

  • The price of 14-carat gold rose to 3086 EGP per gram.
  • The price of 18-carat gold increased to 3968 EGP per gram.
  • The price of 21-carat gold climbed to 4630 EGP per gram.
  • The price of 24-carat gold went up to 5291 EGP per gram.

Gold pound price:

  • The price of a gold pound increased to 37,040 EGP, though it may vary from one trader to another. This price reflects the value of the gold in the pound.

Gold ingot price:

  • The price of a 10-gram gold ingot reached around 52,910 EGP.
  • The price of an ounce (31.1 grams) of gold reached around 164,550 EGP.
  • The price of a 50-gram gold ingot stood at about 264,550 EGP.

Prices may vary between traders, and the price of the ingot is based on the price of a 24-carat gram of gold.

Global gold prices:

The global price of gold rose by 1.28%, reaching around 3216 USD per ounce (an ounce equals 31.1 grams of 24-carat gold), according to the latest update from Bloomberg.
