Egyptian-Saudi-Jordanian Statement: An Arab-Islamic Ministerial Delegation Discussed in Paris Efforts to End the War on Gaza

Egypt Daily News – The Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan issued a joint statement on Friday evening regarding a meeting held in Paris between the ministerial delegation assigned by the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit and the French Foreign Minister to discuss developments in the Gaza Strip.

According to the joint statement, as part of the efforts of the ministerial committee formed by the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit to address the situation in Gaza, a delegation headed by Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia; Dr. Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan; and Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptian Expatriates, met on Friday with Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, at the French Foreign Ministry in Paris.

During the meeting, discussions focused on international efforts to end the war in Gaza and allow the flow of humanitarian aid into the Strip. The talks also addressed ways to enhance joint efforts to stop the violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people and the occupied territories, which are in breach of international laws, norms, and international humanitarian law.

The meeting also discussed support for efforts aimed at achieving peace in the region through the implementation of the two-state solution in accordance with relevant international laws, to ensure security and prosperity in the region.

Additionally, preparations were discussed for the upcoming high-level international conference on the two-state solution, scheduled to be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York in June, under the joint chairmanship of Saudi Arabia and France.
