The Egyptian head of state was received at the airport by Qatari Defense Minister Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman bin Hassan Al Thani alongside Egypt’s Ambassador to Doha Walid El-Feqi and prominent embassy staff members.

Following his reception at the airport, President El-Sisi proceeded immediately to Lusail Palace to engage in top-level bilateral discussions with the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy confirmed that the president explicitly reaffirmed the full support of the Egyptian leadership and people for their Qatari counterparts during this painful ordeal. Immediately following the conclusion of his morning engagements in Doha, President El-Sisi and his accompanying executive delegation departed for an emergency fraternal visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The president was received at the airport in Manama by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to initiate immediate security consultations.
Ambassador El-Shennawy stated that the rapid deployment to Manama was executed to deliver Egypt’s absolute solidarity with Bahrain under the current volatile regional security conditions. During the meeting, President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s unwavering support for Bahraini security and stability while strongly condemning recent unprovoked drone and missile strikes against Bahraini territory as blatant violations of international law.
