Egypt Daily News – Remittances from Egyptians working abroad witnessed successive jumps during the period following the reform measures in March 2024, as they doubled during September 2024 to record about $2.7 billion, compared to about $1.3 billion during September 2023.
Remittances during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024/2025 (the period July/September 2024) also witnessed an increase of 84.4% to record about $8.3 billion, compared to about $4.5 billion.
Thus, the first nine months of the current year 2024 (the period January/September 2024) witnessed an increase of 42.6% to reach about 20.8 billion dollars (compared to about 14.6 billion dollars).
