Egypt Daily News – Egypt remains steadfast in its efforts to promote security, stability, and a just peace for both Palestinians and Israelis in line with international legitimacy resolutions, stated Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty.
Abdel Ati made these remarks during a meeting with US Senator Lindsey Graham, Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, in Washington on Tuesday. The discussions highlighted Egypt’s ongoing commitment to supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the two-state solution.
The Foreign Minister praised Senator Graham’s consistent support for the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States, emphasizing the strong and multifaceted ties between Cairo and Washington across various domains.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East, with a particular focus on Egypt’s significant efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza, facilitate prisoner exchanges, and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave.
Senator Graham commended President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s pivotal role in advancing regional security and stability. He stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation between Egypt and the United States to further mutual interests and address shared challenges.
The meeting underscored the enduring partnership between the two nations and their joint commitment to fostering peace and stability in the region.
