Egypt Daily News – King Abdullah II of Jordan, during his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, stated that Arab countries will have a plan regarding the future of Gaza, emphasizing that Egypt will present a plan on how to cooperate with the U.S. President.
King Abdullah pointed out that Jordan is ready to receive 2,000 injured children from Gaza for treatment and stressed the necessity of “taking everyone’s interests into account.”
King Abdullah emphasized that any attempt to alter the situation in Gaza could lead to spreading chaos and exacerbating extremism in the region. He added that such policies threaten peace in the area and could also pose new challenges to Jordan, endangering its stability.
During a joint press conference with Trump, he added, “We must wait to see a plan from Egypt regarding Gaza,” affirming that he will support Trump in achieving peace and prosperity in the region.
U.S. President stated that Gaza will be under the administration of U.S. authorities, not owned by them. When asked about the authority allowing him to control Gaza, he replied, “American authority.” Trump said, “We will manage Gaza very properly, and we will not buy it, nor will I invest in it personally.” He also reiterated that there will be lands in Egypt and Jordan where Palestinians can live.
These statements came during the meeting between the Jordanian monarch and Trump at the White House, as the U.S. President pushes for acceptance of his plan, which calls for the relocation of all Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan, in particular, and its real estate development to turn it into a “Riviera.”
