Egypt Daily News – The Ministry of Health in the Houthi government (not internationally recognized) announced on Saturday that 15 people were killed or injured as a result of a U.S. airstrike in the capital, Sana’a.

Anis Al-Asbahi, the spokesperson for the Houthi Ministry of Health, stated, “The number of victims of the aggression has reached nine martyrs and nine injured, most of them civilians, with the toll expected to rise.”

He added, “The American aggression against Yemen is a criminal escalation that will not break the will of the Yemeni people but will only strengthen their determination to support Gaza and the resistance.”

Al-Asbahi condemned what he described as “an aggression targeting civilian and residential areas in eastern Sana’a today, a systematic criminal escalation, a blatant violation of all international laws and conventions, and a war crime that adds to the record of the criminal coalition of evil.”

Earlier today, violent explosions shook the capital, Sana’a, following U.S. airstrikes targeting multiple Houthi sites in the northwest of the city.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he had ordered a series of airstrikes on the capital, Sana’a, and vowed to use “overwhelming lethal force” until the Iran-backed Houthis cease their attacks on shipping vessels along a vital maritime corridor.

The Houthis resumed their attacks on Israeli-linked ships in recent days after halting them since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas took effect in January.
