Egypt is set to host AI Everything MEA Egypt 2026, a major regional technology event that will take place in Cairo on February 11–12 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center. Organized under the AI Everything Middle East and Africa banner, the gathering is expected to attract more than 350 enterprises and startups from over 30 countries, positioning Egypt as a focal point for applied artificial intelligence and advanced digital systems in the region.

Unlike many technology forums that center on policy announcements or long-term roadmaps, organizers say the Cairo event will emphasize deployed systems and operational use cases already in production. Exhibitors are expected to showcase technologies that are actively in use across sectors such as mobility, healthcare, and computing infrastructure, reflecting a shift toward practical implementation rather than conceptual discussion.

The event comes amid growing momentum in Egypt’s technology ecosystem. According to figures cited by organizers, Egyptian startups raised more than $339 million in the first half of 2025, accounting for roughly 31 percent of total startup funding across Africa. This surge has helped position the country as one of the continent’s leading hubs for early-stage technology development, particularly in enterprise software, fintech, health tech, and AI-enabled services.

Mobility is among the sectors expected to draw attention. Brightskies, an Egyptian technology company, is set to present an autonomous driving platform developed and tested locally. The company describes the system as a production-ready solution designed for advanced driving capabilities in controlled environments, highlighting domestic engineering capacity in a field typically dominated by global automotive and technology firms.

Healthcare applications will also feature prominently. THAKAA plans to showcase an Arabic-language AI platform designed for senior leadership and decision-making teams. The system is already deployed at the world’s largest children’s cancer hospital, where it supports administrative and operational workflows. Organizers say the demonstration reflects a broader trend toward applied AI within public service and healthcare institutions, where efficiency and data-driven decision-making are increasingly critical.

Computing infrastructure is another central theme. NtegralOne Solutions is expected to present high-performance AI workstations aimed at enabling companies, startups, and researchers to run advanced workloads locally, reducing dependence on overseas data centers. The company positions its technology as a response to rising demand for domestic computing capacity, data sovereignty, and lower-latency AI development environments across the region.

In parallel with the exhibition, AI Everything MEA Egypt 2026 will host a closed-door summit focused on national and enterprise-scale computing, deployment challenges, and digital infrastructure development. Speakers are expected to include representatives from international institutions such as the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the United Nations Environment Programme, alongside executives from global computing and technology firms.

Despite the event’s emphasis on progress and deployment, participants have privately noted persistent challenges facing the regional technology landscape. These include limited access to advanced computing resources, shortages of experienced technical talent, and disparities between major urban centers and smaller cities. Such constraints continue to influence the speed and scale at which advanced technologies can be rolled out across the Middle East and Africa.

AI Everything Middle East and Africa Egypt is presented by GITEX and hosted by Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency. Organizers say the Cairo edition aligns closely with Egypt’s national AI strategy, with a deliberate focus on systems already in operation rather than future pledges, underscoring the country’s ambition to move from strategy to execution in the AI era.
