Egypt Daily News – The Arab Republic of Egypt has categorically and completely denied the claims circulated by some media outlets that it is prepared to temporarily relocate half a million Gaza residents to a designated city in North Sinai as part of Gaza’s reconstruction efforts.
In an official statement today, The State Information Service reaffirmed that these false claims are entirely untrue and fundamentally contradict Egypt’s firm and principled stance, which it has maintained since the early days of the war of extermination on Gaza in October 2023.
Egypt has categorically and unequivocally rejected any attempt to displace Palestinian brothers and sisters—whether forcibly or voluntarily—to any location outside Gaza, particularly to Egypt. Such actions, Egypt asserts, would amount to the liquidation of the Palestinian cause and pose a grave threat to Egyptian national security.
The statement emphasized that Egypt’s clear and unwavering position is the foundation of the plan it presented at the recent Cairo emergency Arab summit, which aims to rebuild Gaza without the displacement of a single Palestinian.
