Today, President El-Sisi received a phone call from the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the two presidents reviewed the positive developments in bilateral relations and affirmed their shared commitment to expanding cooperation in various fields to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples and enhance integration within Africa.

They also discussed ways to develop economic, trade, and investment partnerships, therefore reflecting the strong, distinguished political relations between the two countries.

The call also addressed the current situation in Africa and ways to enhance security and stability across the continent. The two presidents discussed mechanisms to support bilateral coordination within multilateral frameworks, particularly within the African Union, to further advance development and consolidate pillars of stability.
