The Egyptian Armed Forces announced a successful nationwide operation resulting in the seizure of a massive cache of narcotics and weaponry. The border guards estimated the total value of these confiscated smuggled goods and illegal mining equipment at forty billion Egyptian pounds.
This major operation relied heavily on advanced surveillance technologies and professional combat personnel to secure the national territory. Integrated security systems along with coastal patrol boats and trained detection dogs helped intercept the criminal networks.
Large Quantities of Firearms and Narcotics Confiscated
Security personnel recorded dozens of weapon cases that led to the recovery of ninety-six firearms and thousands of ammunition rounds. Anti-narcotics teams also foiled seventy-nine separate smuggling attempts across various strategic border zones.
These drug raids yielded over three hundred tons of narcotic substances alongside hundreds of thousands of illegal pills. Military forces completed the mission by dismantling and destroying several hidden illicit drug plantations.
Customs Evasion and Illegal Mining Defeated
The nationwide crackdown uncovered over one hundred cases of goods that had successfully evaded official customs duties. The seized contraband included fifty tons of petroleum products and a large volume of smuggled cigarettes worth one billion Egyptian pounds.
Authorities also intensified their focus on illegal gold prospecting by targeting dozens of illicit mining sites. The border guards confiscated twenty metal detectors and eighty-six tons of gold-bearing ore rocks during the raids.
Massive Wave of Illegal Migration Thwarted
The Border Guard Forces stopped five hundred vehicles used for human trafficking and smuggling operations. Security teams successfully thwarted over one hundred separate attempts at illegal infiltration across the frontiers.
Nearly one hundred thousand individuals of various nationalities were apprehended while trying to cross the national borders unlawfully. All captured suspects and seized materials have been referred to the relevant legal authorities for immediate prosecution.
