Egypt Daily News – Dr. Ashraf Zaki, head of the Acting Professions Syndicate, has announced the lifting of Haifa Wehbe’s suspension following the resolution of her conflict with Remas Company. The reconciliation led to both parties agreeing to amicably drop the complaint filed against the artist.

In an official communication, Dr. Zaki reached out to Mustafa Kamel, the head of the Musical Professions Syndicate, urging the activation of the Federation of Artistic Syndicates’ role.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation on legal, moral, and administrative grounds, concerning Haifa Wehbe’s breach of her artistic contract.

This breach occurred when a film production company, despite receiving a deposit, failed to comply with a decision from the investigation committee of the Acting Professions Syndicate, leading to her suspension.

This situation aligned with a formal complaint submitted by a concert organizer regarding Haifa’s failure to perform at a planned concert on July 19th on the North Coast, despite having received payment.

The organizer reported significant financial damages from this breach.

After reviewing the complaint, both the Musical and Acting Professions Unions found the allegations to be valid and decided that Haifa Wehbe would not be granted work permits for concerts or acting until all disputes were resolved.

When asked about scheduling the investigation with Haifa Wehbe, Mustafa Kamel noted that the legal affairs department would determine the date for both the artist and the complainant to appear, which he expected to be communicated within the week.
