Egypt Daily News – Ahmed Al-Sharaa, Commander-in-Chief of the new Syrian administration, stressed that the current stage requires a state mentality far from the opposition mentality, stressing the necessity of preserving Syria’s unity and building a social contract that guarantees justice for all sects.
Al-Sharaa explained, during his meeting yesterday evening with representatives of the Druze community in Syria, that the main goal is to avoid quotas and reject any privacy that might lead to the separation of any of the sects from the state.
He added: “What matters to us is that there be no quotas and no privacy. We manage matters from an institutional and legal standpoint, and we seek to achieve the best for the Syrian people.” For its part, the Druze community confirmed that they will only be part of Syria.
Al-Sharaa stated that the reality of the country is exhausting and the extent of the destruction is great, and we need the efforts of all Syrians inside and outside the country, as it is necessary to work in a team spirit, adding that the factions will be disbanded and the fighters will be prepared to join the Ministry of Defense, and everyone will be subject to the law.
He also said: The country needs to control the industrial sector and development plans that serve food security. The regime’s human resources are minimal, and the regime’s condition was deteriorating culturally and socially.
