President El-Sisi meets with senior military officials after Friday prayers

Egypt Daily News – President El-Sisi, performed Friday prayers at Al-Mosheer Tantawy Mosque. The prayers coincided with Egypt and the Armed Forces’ celebrations of Martyr’s Day and Veteran’s Day, as well as the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan Victory.

The prayer was attended by Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar; Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production; Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; along with several ministers, governors, commanders of the main branches of the Armed Forces, senior military and police officials, and a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers.

Sheikh Dr. Al-Sayed Abdel Bari delivered the Friday sermon titled “The Month of Victories and Martyr’s Day.” In his sermon, he highlighted some of the most significant battles and heroic achievements of the Islamic nation during the blessed month of Ramadan.

He emphasized that this sacred month has witnessed continuous victories through sincere reliance on God, perseverance, and determination, culminating in the great triumph on the 10th of Ramadan. The sermon also addressed the virtue of martyrdom in the path of God and the esteemed status of martyrs who sacrificed their lives to safeguard the nation’s security and protect its sanctities. He stressed that everyone should follow in the footsteps of these honorable martyrs, dedicating all they have to ensure that the nation’s flag remains high and proud.

President El-Sisi’s Meeting with Military Leaders

After performing the prayer, President El-Sisi met with senior military officials, in the presence of General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production; Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and commanders of the main military branches.

The meeting began with President El-Sisi extending his congratulations to the Armed Forces on the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan Victory, which coincides with Egypt and the military’s celebration of Martyr’s Day and Veteran’s Day. He paid tribute to the souls of the nation’s martyrs, whose sacrifices paved the way with honor and pride, enabling the continuation of progress and turning the dream of national advancement into a tangible reality across all sectors of the country.

The meeting also included discussions on several significant international and regional issues, as well as a review of the Armed Forces’ ongoing efforts to reinforce Egypt’s national security across all strategic directions.

President El-Sisi expressed his deep appreciation for the Armed Forces’ efforts in protecting the nation and safeguarding its sanctities.
