Today, President El-Sisi received transitional Prime Minister of the Republic of Sudan, Kamel Idris. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and delegations from both countries.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, stated that the meeting reviewed the developments in strategic relations between Egypt and Sudan and ways to further advance them in various fields. This aims to restore stability in Sudan and achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples for development and prosperity.

President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s firm and supportive position on Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The President emphasized Egypt’s full support for all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in Sudan and ending the current humanitarian suffering, in a way that preserves the resources of the Sudanese people. 

In this context, the two sides discussed efforts to settle the Sudanese crisis and achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace and stability. They also tackled avenues of cooperation between the two countries in the field of reconstruction in Sudan.

The meeting also touched on the latest regional developments, with both sides affirming the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two countries on all issues of common interest.
