Egypt Daily News – Diaa Rashwan, head of the State Information Service, stated that yesterday saw the presence of several delegations in Cairo, including one from Hamas, another from Qatar, and a third from Turkey. He emphasized that Egypt and Qatar are constantly working to support the interests of the Palestinian cause.
Egypt and Qatar receive the Israeli proposal
Rashwan, during a phone interview with TV presenter Amr Khalil on the program “Min Masr” aired on Cairo News Channel, said that Egypt and Qatar received the Israeli proposal and presented it to Hamas.
He added, “The Egyptian and Qatari mediators have continuously supported the Palestinian cause since negotiations began in October 2023. However, as mediators, they are tasked with conveying proposals between the parties. That is why they relayed the Israeli proposal, including all the new conditions reported by Israeli media, such as disarmament and others.”
Hamas has stated that it will respond to the Israeli proposal regarding a ceasefire in Gaza within 48 hours, according to Cairo News Channel.
