Egypt Daily News – The investigations conducted by the Public Prosecution in the case involving an accusation against a financial officer at a well-known private school in the Damanhour Center in the Beheira Governorate, who was accused of sexually assaulting a child in the kindergarten, and known in the media as the “Damanhour Child Case,” revealed that the child identified the accused twice during an identification parade held at the prosecution office. The child recognized the accused twice during the lineup.
The investigations also revealed that the child and the accused were confronted five times, with two individuals resembling the accused in each confrontation, arranged differently every time. The child recognized the accused immediately during the first two confrontations but failed to identify him later after the accused removed his glasses and scarf during the following three consecutive confrontations.
The accused justified the inconsistencies in the child’s identification by explaining that the child had memorized his image over the span of 11 months, which was the time that passed from the start of the case until the confrontation sessions, which could explain why the child recognized him initially.
Details of the Damanhour Child Case: The accused in the case is named “S. K.,” a 79-year-old man who works as an accountant at the school where the incident took place. He faces explicit charges of committing a felony by sexually assaulting a five-year-old child.

The accused denies the assault: During the investigations, the accused denied the charges leveled against him by the child’s family, explaining that he had missed previous sessions due to his health condition, as he had undergone open-heart surgery, which led to his prolonged absence.
He stated in the investigation that he was summoned by the head of the investigations department, who informed him of the accusations against him regarding the assault on the child. He expressed his disbelief, saying: “How can this be, as I am an elderly man with heart disease?”
