Egypt Daily News – An Israeli official announced that approximately 48 to 50 bombs were dropped on the Port of Hodeidah, leading to its complete destruction. He stated that the port “received a very strong blow” and also confirmed that a “significant factory” belonging to the Houthis was targeted.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the Israeli operation in Yemen has concluded.
Meanwhile, sources revealed that more than 30 Israeli aircraft took part in the strikes on Hodeidah.
The Israeli army issued a statement regarding the attacks it launched on Yemen’s Hodeidah port and its surrounding areas on Monday evening.
According to sources, “The Israel Defense Forces struck terrorist targets belonging to the terrorist Houthi regime in and around the port of Hodeidah, Yemen, located approximately 2,000 kilometers from Israel.”
The statement said that the attacks targeted “terrorist infrastructure” belonging to the Houthi group along the Yemeni coast.
The raids were described as a response to “repeated attacks by the terrorist Houthi regime against the State of Israel, which included the launching of surface-to-surface missiles and drones toward Israeli territory and its citizens.”
The Israeli army claimed that “the terrorist infrastructure attacked at the port of Hodeidah represents a major source of income for the Houthi regime, as the port is used to transport Iranian weapons, military equipment, and other military supplies.”
The statement also said that “the Bajil Cement Factory, east of Hodeidah, was also targeted. It is an important economic facility for the Houthi regime and is used to build tunnels and military infrastructure. Targeting the factory is considered a blow to the regime’s economy and its military capabilities.”
The statement added: “Over the past year and a half, the terrorist Houthi regime, under Iranian direction and funding, has been working to strike Israel and its allies, destabilize the regional order, and disrupt global maritime navigation.”
It concluded: “The Israel Defense Forces are determined to continue operating with strength against any threat to the citizens and residents of Israel, regardless of distance.”
Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah TV reported American and Israeli airstrikes on the port of Hodeidah, stating that eight raids have so far targeted the port and additional locations in Bajil District of Hodeidah Governorate.
