Prime Minister Madbouly was received upon arrival at the venue by Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

The launch of 5G mobile services comes as part of the state’s efforts to develop the telecommunications sector, strengthen its digital infrastructure, and is the culmination of efforts made by the NTRA in cooperation with telecom companies operating in the Egyptian market.

These efforts recently led to the signing of 5G service licenses, with a total value of 675 million USD for the four mobile operators in Egypt. The licenses include 5G and the renewal of previous generation licenses for 15 years, reflecting the state’s commitment to providing the latest global technologies to users in Egypt.

5G technology directly benefits end users by offering ultra-fast internet speeds that allow for higher quality content streaming and app usage without interruption. It also significantly reduces latency, enabling a smoother and more efficient user experience.

These advancements support remote learning, digital healthcare, online gaming, and smart banking services. Additionally, users can benefit from augmented reality and artificial intelligence applications, enhancing the quality of digital life and improving the level of services provided to citizens.

Furthermore, 5G forms a foundational platform for the development and expansion of many future technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, smart manufacturing and transport systems, as well as the integration of AI in healthcare and education.

It also enables advanced cloud computing solutions, boosting opportunities for digital innovation and entrepreneurship, and paving the way for building a competitive digital economy in Egypt.
