President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Monday the credentials of 23 newly appointed ambassadors to the Arab Republic of Egypt, marking a new chapter in Egypt’s diplomatic engagement with partner nations across the globe.

The ceremony, held at the presidential headquarters in Cairo, was attended by senior officials and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shinawy released photographs of the event, which underscored Egypt’s commitment to fostering stronger international partnerships.

The new ambassadors presenting their credentials included representatives from a diverse range of regions, reflecting Egypt’s broad and balanced foreign policy. Among them were Rita Viktoria Hernitschar, Ambassador of Hungary; Iwai Fumio, Ambassador of Japan; Aamer Shaukat, Ambassador of Pakistan; Makinto Sebastião Lopes, Ambassador of Angola; and Mounir Sissi, Ambassador of Guinea.

Also accredited were Louise Elizabeth Searle, Ambassador of New Zealand; Michał Murkociński, Ambassador of Poland; Suresh K. Reddy, Ambassador of India; Lars Bo Møller, Ambassador of Denmark; Luz Elena Martínez Casab, Ambassador of Colombia; and Yevgeny Sobolevsky, Ambassador of Belarus.

The list further included Mark Edward Bryson-Richardson, Ambassador of the United Kingdom; Erik Berger Husem, Ambassador of Norway; Nguyen Nam Duong, Ambassador of Vietnam; Aidan Anthony O’Hara, Ambassador of Ireland; Nikoloz Abkhazava, Ambassador of Georgia; and Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates.

Other newly appointed envoys were Sergio Román Carranza Forster, Ambassador of Spain; Agostino Palese, Ambassador of Italy; Henry B. Fahnboh, Ambassador of Liberia; Christian Müller, Ambassador of Luxembourg (resident in Luxembourg); Tatiana Daniela García Silva, Ambassador of Nicaragua (resident in Turkey); and Daniela Rotondaro, Ambassador of San Marino (resident in Rome).

During the ceremony, President El-Sisi welcomed the new ambassadors and conveyed his best wishes for their success in carrying out their diplomatic missions in Cairo. The President reaffirmed Egypt’s pride in its distinguished relations with their respective countries and reiterated the nation’s steadfast commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in all fields.

President El-Sisi emphasized that Egypt will continue to provide all necessary support to the newly appointed diplomats to facilitate their work and promote deeper collaboration between Egypt and their home countries. He highlighted the importance of diplomatic dialogue and mutual understanding as key drivers of peace, stability, and development in the region and beyond.

The presentation of credentials ceremony is a long-standing diplomatic tradition that symbolizes the beginning of an ambassador’s official duties in their host country. The arrival of this diverse group of diplomats underlines Egypt’s growing role as a strategic hub for international diplomacy and cooperation in the Middle East, Africa, and the Mediterranean.
