Egypt Daily News – Spanish media reports have indicated that Mohamed Salah, the renowned Liverpool forward, has been offered to Barcelona as a potential free transfer target, due to his contract expiring at the end of the current season.

This revelation follows Salah’s recent comments after a match against Manchester United, where he stated that he has not yet finalized a contract extension with Liverpool, suggesting that this season might be his last with the club.

According to the Spanish outlet “Ok Diario,” Barcelona president Joan Laporta, along with Deco, is keen on making a significant signing next summer to help revitalize the club’s standing in international football.

However, the club’s challenging financial situation limits their ability to pursue high-profile players like Erling Haaland from Manchester City or Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

The report notes that acquiring Salah would allow Barcelona to bring in a player without a transfer fee, as he would arrive at Camp Nou on a free transfer. The signing bonus for Salah could be managed over a contract spanning three years or more.

Salah, who joined Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer of 2017, has made a notable impact at the club, featuring in 359 matches and contributing a total of 94 goals through both scoring and assisting.
